Medicare is a complicated, ever-evolving world. This program will offer attorneys an overview of current Medicare-related procedures, practices and trends. The various Medicare enrollment periods and eligibility requirements will be discussed. The program also will cover when and how to enroll in Medicare and Medicare Supplemental plans, the cost of the various components of Medicare, and how Medicare interacts with employer group coverage and other types of non-Medicare coverage. Also discussed will be the various components of Medicare plans (including Part A, Part B, Part C and Part D) and the availability of special-needs plans and low-income subsidies for Medicare enrollees. In addition, the discussion will provide an overview of traditional MediGap plans as well as Medicare Advantage Plans, and Prescription Drug Plans (PDP). The program is sponsored by USI Affinity.
